Gate to My Garden

Today is Outdoor Wednesday
Hosted by A southern Daydreamer
*****
This time last year we were in the midst of outdoor changes.
We now have a new gate to be proud of.
The iron work insert lets you take a peek into the back yard before you enter.

*****
The gate is made of cedar and we want it to age naturally to a grey color
that will match the brick of our house.

*****
This next picture shows the "court yard" that you enter into.
We've used gravel flooring, something that I saw a lot of when we traveled the
English country side.
A small pond was built adjacent to the sliding door.
It has been so nice to have a water feature with the soothing sound
of trickling water.
